Vaastu Shastra or Shilpa Veda; an Upaveda of Atharvaveda has its origin in Vedas and Puranas.  For a human being, Vaastu is the third visible line of  defense; the first the natural one is the human skin.  The second line of defense is the clothes we wear.  The third line of defense is the building we work or reside in; may be house, office, school or factory. The fourth line of defense is again natural, the Ozone layer.  Vaastu principles help us in selecting the benefic portion of natural energies and discarding the malefic ones.  It gives amazing results when combined with the principles of modern Building Science & Architecture, Exterior & Interior Design, Environmental Engineering, Human Psychology, Feng Shui and Astrology.
